Atlantisite is rare in every sense. Found only in Tasmania, Australia, it is a natural combination of purple Stichtite and green Serpentine — two minerals that rarely occur together, and when they do, produce something visually and energetically unlike anything else. The result is a stone that looks like it was painted: deep forest green threaded with violet, each piece different from the last. Polished into a tower form, it carries both the grounding quality of Serpentine and the heart-opening, emotionally expansive energy of Stichtite in a single, focused point.

Chakra Connection
Atlantisite works with both the Heart Chakra and the lower chakras simultaneously, which is part of what makes it so distinctive. The Serpentine component grounds and stabilizes, connecting you to the earth and to your own physical presence. The Stichtite opens and softens the heart, encouraging compassion, emotional honesty, and a willingness to be present with difficult feelings. Together, they create an energy that is both anchored and open — the kind that supports genuine emotional work without leaving you unmoored.
How to Work With It
- Use during meditation to access both grounded presence and heart-centered awareness
- Place on the Heart Chakra during energy work to encourage emotional release and healing
- Keep on a desk or altar as a daily reminder to stay both rooted and open
- Pair with Rose Quartz to deepen heart-centered work with an added layer of gentle self-compassion
- Use during journaling or reflective practices to support honest emotional processing
Crystal Care
Serpentine has a Mohs hardness of 3–6, so handle this piece with care and keep it away from harder stones that could scratch the surface. Avoid water exposure, as Serpentine can be sensitive to prolonged moisture. For energetic cleansing, smudging with sage or sound cleansing with a singing bowl is ideal. You can also place it on a Selenite plate overnight to clear and recharge it gently.
What Is Atlantisite?
Atlantisite is the trade name for a natural combination of Stichtite — a rare magnesium chromium carbonate mineral — and Serpentine, found together in a single deposit in Stichtite Hill, Tasmania. The purple color of Stichtite is caused by chromium and nickel, and it is one of the few minerals that produces a true violet hue naturally. Because the deposit is limited and the combination is geologically unusual, Atlantisite is considered one of the rarer stones in the crystal world. In healing traditions, it is associated with emotional healing, compassion, and the integration of heart and body — qualities that reflect the union of its two component minerals.
