How to Use It
Light the tip, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out so the ember glows. Stand it in an ash catcher, or push the bare end into a bowl of sand or rice, and open a window a crack — incense is meant to drift, not fill. Never leave it burning unattended; keep it away from curtains, children and pets.

Copal was burned in Maya and Aztec ceremony and still is, on Day of the Dead altars and in cleansing limpias across Mexico.
