Lepidolite is a special, gentle stone with a nurturing nature, and may be a good choice as a gift for a health care provider or a mental health care provider. About the Stone
Lepidolite is a lilac mica coloured by manganese, and it splits into thin, glittering sheets — the sparkle you see is the mica. Much tumbled lepidolite is stabilised because the stone is so soft. Chiefly from Brazil, Madagascar and the United States.
Care
Very soft and flaky: it scratches with a fingernail and can shed. Never soak it — water gets between the layers — and keep it out of a pocket with harder stones. Cleanse it dry, with a smudge or moonlight.
