Known as the Stone of the Mystic, Chalcopyrite shines with colors of gold, blue and violet, awakening higher awareness and connection to the divine. It opens pathways to spiritual insight, deepens meditation, and fills the aura with joy and belief in oneself.

Chalcopyrite is copper iron sulfide — brassy gold when fresh, developing an iridescent tarnish of blues and violets. 'Peacock Ore' is a trade name that has been used for both Chalcopyrite and Bornite, which are different minerals; Sacred Crystals keeps them as separate stones with separate teachings. Pyrite is a separate stone too.
Do not soak it or use salt water — it is a sulfide and tarnishes further in moisture. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and cleanse it dry: sage, sound or moonlight.
