Pink Himalayan Halite is rock salt mined from the Khewra Salt Mine in Pakistan — one of the world's largest and oldest salt mines, located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The salt was deposited approximately 250 million years ago when an ancient sea evaporated, leaving behind vast salt deposits that were later buried under layers of rock. Its pink color comes from trace amounts of iron oxide. Note: Himalayan Halite is water-soluble — keep it dry and away from moisture.
