About Selenite
Selenite is a variety of gypsum named after Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon. It forms over thousands of years through the evaporation of saline water in sedimentary environments — most commonly in the arid regions of Morocco, Mexico, and the American Southwest. The result is a naturally transparent to milky-white crystal with a luminous, fibrous glow unlike any other stone.
