Nephrite jade has been revered in China for over 7,000 years, where it was considered more precious than gold and associated with virtue, beauty, and immortality. The finest White Jade ("mutton fat jade") comes from Xinjiang, China. Jade tools and ornaments have been found in archaeological sites across Asia, Mesoamerica, and New Zealand, reflecting its universal cultural significance.
