I Sell Crystals. You Don’t Need Crystals.

I Sell Crystals. You Don’t Need Crystals.

I probably shouldn’t say this.

After all, I own Sacred Crystals. I travel around the country selling crystals. I stand on stages at metaphysical expos and give a talk literally called “I Bought a Pretty Rock… Now What?”

And one of the first things I tell the audience is:

You don’t need crystals.

Everything you’re looking for is already inside you.

That might be a strange thing for a crystal dealer to say, but after years of doing this, I believe it more than ever.

A Month on the Road

We’ve spent most of the last month traveling.

Melbourne. Jacksonville. Charlotte. Raleigh. Miles of driving, hotel rooms, loading, unloading, setting up booths, breaking them down, packing everything back into the vehicle and doing it all over again.

It is exhausting.

And I still love it.

Because somewhere between the boxes, the aching muscles and the inevitable moment when someone asks a question while you’re desperately trying to finish setting up, I get reminded why I fell in love with this world in the first place.

People are searching.

They’re curious.

They’re discovering things about themselves.

And sometimes they just need a safe place to be curious.

The Couple in Raleigh

After my talk in Raleigh, a couple came up to speak with me.

They were just beginning to explore what I lovingly call all this woo-woo stuff.

And they were doing it together.

I loved that.

They came over to our booth afterward and wanted to hold Moldavite. They asked questions. They eventually bought a piece.

But the Moldavite isn’t what I remember.

I remember their excitement.

They wanted to talk about what they were discovering and where they were on their journey. There was that wonderful energy people have when they’ve stumbled onto a whole new room in reality and suddenly realize there are a thousand doors they haven’t opened yet.

I got to stand there for a few minutes while they opened one.

That’s why I do this.

So What Are Crystals For?

I don’t believe the power you’re looking for lives only inside a rock.

I believe it lives inside you.

But that doesn’t mean crystals do nothing.

Crystals have their own unique energy signatures. They interact with us, support us, amplify intentions, and can add something very real to the energetic field we’re already carrying.

A crystal can become an intention you can hold in your hand. A reminder sitting beside your bed. A meditation partner. A beautiful piece of the Earth that helps you slow down long enough to notice what is shifting inside you.

But the crystal isn’t here to replace your own spiritual work.

Neither is the tarot deck.

Neither is the meditation class, the sound bath, the book, the teacher—or the metaphysical expo.

They’re tools and companions.

Sometimes incredibly powerful ones.

But ultimately, they help point us back toward ourselves.

And maybe that’s the beautiful paradox of the entire metaphysical world:

We gather all these tools to help us remember that what we’re searching for was inside us all along.

Every Interaction Matters

That weekend also reminded me of something else.

You never really know where someone is on their journey.

The person walking into a crystal shop might have been collecting for twenty years.

They might have Googled “What does amethyst do?” in the parking lot five minutes ago.

They might be celebrating.

They might be grieving.

They might be questioning beliefs they’ve held their entire life.

Or maybe they just saw something sparkly from the mall walkway and wandered in.

All of those people belong.

That’s one of the reasons Sacred Crystals exists in ordinary places like malls as well as metaphysical events. I want there to be places where you don’t have to already know the language. You don’t need to know your chakras. You don’t need to know what Mercury is doing. You don’t need to believe exactly what I believe.

You can just walk in.

Touch the crystals.

Ask the question.

Be curious.

Maybe You Bought a Pretty Rock. Now What?

Enjoy it.

Seriously.

Put it somewhere that makes you happy. Carry it in your pocket. Meditate with it. Learn its traditional meanings. Give it an intention. Forget about it for three months and rediscover it underneath your bed.

There isn’t a test.

Your spiritual journey belongs to you.

The crystals are traveling companions, each with their own unique energy signature and their own way of supporting us along the journey. They can amplify, complement, and interact with the energy we bring—but they don’t replace the power within us.

And if one beautiful little rock helps you stop for a moment, turn inward, shift your energy, and remember something about who you really are?

I’d say it did its job.

The crystal brings its energy. You bring yours. And sometimes, something pretty magical happens when the two meet.
