Lapis is a powerful Third Eye opener — so powerful it was once thought necessary in death mantles to ensure passage to the afterlife. It is a stone that aids in travel between worlds and can be used to consciously travel into the astral plane. By opening our third eye, the all-seeing eye of our consciousness, Lapis helps us attain an understanding of all that is, thus eliminating stress and bringing a sense of deep peace and contentment.

About the Stone

Lapis Lazuli is a rock rather than a single mineral — deep blue lazurite with white calcite and brassy flecks of pyrite. The finest has come from the same mines in Badakhshan, Afghanistan, for over 6,000 years, and ground lapis was once ultramarine, the most expensive pigment in the world.

Care

Do not soak Lapis, and never use salt water: its calcite dissolves and its pyrite rusts.
